Taxed at normal slab rates instead What it would cost if the receipts fell outside section 154A. Rs. 0
Your position, including local income Rs. 0

This is an estimate based on the published salaried slab rates for the tax year selected. It is not tax advice. Your actual liability depends on allowances, tax credits, other sources of income and tax already withheld from you.

Worth knowing

  • The final tax applies to receipts, not profit, so your expenses do not reduce it. That is usually good news at this rate.
  • The money has to arrive through a banking channel and be encashed properly for the concession to hold.
  • You still file a return, and you still file a wealth statement. Final tax means the tax is settled, not that filing is optional.

Want the real number, not an estimate?

A calculator works from the figures you give it. Your actual position accounts for allowances, credits, other income and every rupee already withheld from you — which is frequently more than the tax you owe.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 0.25% rate worth registering with PSEB for?

On any serious volume, yes — it is a quarter of the 1% rate. On Rs. 6 million of receipts the difference is Rs. 45,000 a year against a one-off registration that costs far less. The calculator above shows the gap on your own numbers.

Do I pay tax on money still sitting in Payoneer or Wise?

Section 154A works on proceeds brought into Pakistan through a banking channel. Money that has not been remitted has not been taxed under this regime yet, but it is still your income and it still has to appear in your wealth statement. Leaving it offshore and undeclared is the mistake that generates notices.
